Feeling guilty about your lack of consistency? A scheduling tool helps.

Do scheduling tools impact a posts performance on social media? Maybe. Does not posting at all or inconsistently? Definitely.

In a recent networking group I attended, some fellow solopreneurs mentioned they were struggling with their social media posting.

I suggested using Later or a similar scheduling tool.

A colleague I respect interjected that the algorithms don’t like these tools and insisted that they negatively impact content reach.

My research and my own experience says otherwise

Last month, out of all my posts on LinkedIn, this one - which was scheduled - did the best in both reach and engagement. Exponentially better than any other posts.

I did go in and manually add the link to the comments, rather than include it in the post.

I am convinced in-post links are actually a factor when it comes to content reach. The algorithm (on any platform) wants you STAY on the platform.

Several other posts that I posted live, not scheduled, languished.

Beyond the technicalities of social media and visibility marketing, the two best things that help your reach and engagement, are and will always be:

  1. Consistency

  2. Quality content

The end.
