I Want To Be Your Oprah
Years ago, one of my dearest friends came over on a rainy day with her new collectors edition set of Oprah 25th anniversary DVDs.
We plopped down on my sofa in our cozy pants, snuggly socks and with plenty of snacks we clicked on the remote.
Oprah!
We laughed, we cried, and we swooned at the make-over episodes.
A man who felt transformed and seen for the first time in years after cutting his long hair and shaving his scraggly beard.
A young exhausted housewife and mother of two was given a fabulous new haircut, make over and outfit that made her feel like a woman again.
The audience gasped in awe and delight, the guests surprised themselves by breaking into tears.
You could feel the lovin’ good vibes through the TV.
I don’t expect you to break down in tears when we launch your new website, but I do want you to feel transformed.
To feel ready to meet the world with your new digital presence.
To feel as my client, artist Jill Littlewood put it:
“It was so exciting to go to Squarespace I had to jump up and get a handful of chocolate-mint cookies and dance around. Being a real/cool digital person is not something I ever thought I'd want but, like a shower on a hot day or a really well fitted, pretty dress, it has an amazing impact on my sense of self.”
That’s my goal when I put on my headphones, tap on a playlist, review your pre-work and start building your website. I want to be your digital make-up artist and stylist.
When we swivel the chair around and you look at yourself in the mirror I want you to slap your hand over your mouth in astonishment and joy.
When you walk out to greet your audience I want them to gasp in awe and delight.
Do you want this too? Let’s talk.
